Grout
Slump, temperature, compression strength
A representative sample of freshly prepared grout is obtained and tested for temperature by ASTM C1064 and slump by ASTM C143. Compressive strength specimens are prepared by placing grout into three square molds having a height twice their width (with a minimum width of 3 inches). Molds are removed within 24-48 hours after preparing then transported to the laboratory and stored in a moist room until compressive strength testing is performed as specified in ASTM C39.
