Standard Test Method for Density (Unit Weight), Yield, Cement Content, and Air Content (Gravimetric) of Controlled Low-Strength Material (CLSM)

Test Method Title

Standard Test Method for Density (Unit Weight), Yield, Cement Content, and Air Content (Gravimetric) of Controlled Low-Strength Material (CLSM)

Reference Number

ASTM D6023

Material

CLSM

Test Property

Density, Unit Weight, Cement Content, Air Content

Description of Test

CLSM density is determined by filling a container of known volume with CLSM and determining the mass. The density is then calculated by dividing the mass by the volume. The yield, cement content, and the air content of the CLSM is calculated based on the masses and volumes of the batch components.

Number of Test Specimens

1

Test Specimen Size

1-2 x size required to fill the measuring container
